Itinerary

One Day or Two Day Station stay at the stunning Bullo River Station Bullo River Station in the Northern Territory is the famous cattle station owned by the Henderson family, and the subject of mother Sara�s inspiring autobiography �From Strength to Strength�. The property has changed hands and is now the leading cutting edge in Cattle and Land management across Australia. The property lies 115 km north-east of Kununurra, and occupies an area of 2,023 square kilometres (781 sq mi). Come on a day tour or overnight in gorgeous boutique accommodation, at the homestead. pproximately 16:30, after an extraordinary experience, and you will fall asleep that night dreaming of the Bungles.

We depart Kununurra and fly across, Mirima National Park ( the mini Bungle Bungle ) then cross into the Northern Territory and over Legune Station which is the site for the worlds largest inland aquaculture prawn farms, the site work is commencing in 2019. After 30 minutes of flying we come low into Bullo Station, so we can see the big old Crocodile that sunbathes on the bend in the river just before the airstrip, we land and are met by the fantastic Bullo ringers, in the 4wd buggies to take off on an amazing and informative tour of some of the station before lunch. Check out the mating program with the Waygu bulls with Brahmin cows to produce a better more tender beef you will get a unique insight into the day-to-day life and operations of a working cattle station. Bullo is one of the Australian leading stations in environmental practice and conservation, it is a must visit for an insight into the the future of the Australian Cattle Industry.

A beautiful gourmet lunch is prepared at the long table outside where everyone comes in, there is time to relax , have a swim at the pool, or head out again and explore the wetlands and the conservation with the World Wildlife Conservation Fund as the sun begins to set, in the Territory, we head back to W.A. The return flight to Kununurra takes us over the remote Keep River National Park, and back into Kununurra at 5pm.

This is an amazing day on an operating station in the heart of the Northern Territory, there is also the overnight option to have another full day of heli fishing at one of the many favourite secret fishing holes or spend the day horse riding out to the cattle, and learn more about the station life, as well as other options.
