The Scenic flight

KIMBERLEY WILDERNESS ADVENTURE AND LUXURY - AN INTIMATE EXPERIENCE.

Day 2 The ultimate Bungle Bungles:
Experience with an exhilarating scenic flight, private ground tour, accommodation and gourmet meals at the Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge. From Kununurra we head south over Lake Kununurra and the upper Ord River, and on to Lake Argyle, flying over some of our vast cattle stations and the Osmond Ranges. We arrive at the Purnululu National Park and the Bungle Bungle Ranges where we fly a circular pattern to reveal the spectacular beehives and deep gorges of this unique landform. At the Bungles airfield we are met by our Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge hosts. Day 1 Ground Tour: Marvel at the majesty of Cathedral Gorge and test out the acoustics of this natural amphitheatre. Walk along Piccaninny Creek for a closer inspection of the striped beehive domes. Then head to the award-winning Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge to relax amid the tranquil surrounds before dinner.

Day 2 Ground Tour:
Travel to Echidna Chasm, a spectacular natural cleft. Here, join a hike along a Livistona palm-fringed trail between the towering orange cliffs. Your expert local guide will bring the sights to life, describing both their cultural and geological significance. This evening enjoy sunset drinks as the sun goes down on the Bungle Bungle massif.

Day 3: Leaving the Bungles:
Wwe track north towards the Argyle Diamond Mine, now famous for its rare pink and champagne coloured diamonds. Next we follow the shoreline of Lake Argyle and the rugged peaks of the Carr Boyd Ranges. We return to Kununurra and the awesome panorama of the irrigated farmlands to the north and south of the town. As a unique bonus from Kingfisher, your flight continues on to Ivanhoe Crossing before returning along the Lower Ord for touchdown at Kununurra.
