The Scenic flight
Join us on our extended aerial adventure flying over the world famous
Bungle Bungle Ranges, Cockburn Ranges, Cambridge Gulf and lower
Ord River; a photographers delight.
Departing Kununurra we head south along Lake Kununurra, over Packsaddle
Plains to Spillway Creek and on to the majestic inland sea of Lake
Argyle. We then follow Bow River south, where the first Argyle diamonds
were found, and cross the Osmond Ranges with their unique wave-like
formations.
Next we arrive at the Bungle Bungle Range located within the world
heritage listed Purnululu National Park. After flying a loop around
the Bungles, we then track to the Argyle Diamond Mine. We will fly
over the open pit, and onwards to El Questro, a million acre cattle
station turned wilderness park, with its famous cliffhanging homestead.
We continue downstream along the Pentecost River to Home Valley
Station, with the spectacular Cockburn Ranges in full view to the
east. We pass by the historic town of Wyndham, the lower Ord River
wetlands and Ord Irrigation area before returning to Kununurra.
Throughout the flight your highly trained pilot will be providing
a detailed narrative and pointing out many features along the way.
Book now for an unforgettable scenic flight.
Available from Kununurra daily at 0900 and 1400.
