sun as you drive along the ranges. We tour through these amazing
ranges all day and stop at beautiful gorges and waterholes, where

Tour Itinerary: 1 Day West MacDonnell Ranges Tour
Emu Run will collect you from outside your Alice Springs accommodation
at 7.45am.
The spectacular outback scenery and photo opportunities as we travel
along the magnificent West MacDonnell Ranges, stopping at historic
sites. Enjoy beautiful walks at Simpsons Gap, Standley
Chasm (for morning tea), the Ochre Pits, and Ormiston Gorge.
Our next stop is at Glen Helen for a sit-down buffet lunch, then
on our way back to Alice Springs, we stop for afternoon time at
Ellery Creek Big Hole. This waterhole is one of Central Australias
most pristine, so dont forget your swimmers in the warmer months!
The panoramic landscapes of the West MacDonnell Ranges are extraordinary
for their immensity and the spectacular array of sunburnt oranges,
maroons and purples on display. These mighty ranges light up in
brilliant oranges and reds at sunset on the return trip to Alice
Springs.

What are the departure and arrival times?
We leave Alice Springs at approximately 7:45 am and return to
Alice Springs at around 5:30 pm.
Can I bring my family?
Yes. Children aged 2 years and over are welcome on our tour. Children
aged 2-15 and charged $105 per person. All travellers under the
age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who
will be responsible for their care.
What should I bring on tour?
Travel voucher, water bottle (capacity 1 liter), strong non-slip
walking shoes, hat (wide-brimmed is best), Flynet, sunglasses, sunscreen,
camera, casual and comfortable clothing (cool, light clothing is
best in summer and warm clothing for winter).t.
